Knuk is an international collective of physical theatre artists, existing as a platform to help nurture and develop its members wherever they currently are in the world.
Below you will find a short Research and Development video for our project “Mache Ado About Nothing”.
This was an exploration for Knuk’s founding members, in collaboration Ross Flight, made possible through Labtime.
We devise work as an ensemble, drawing on aspects of Theatre, Circus, Dance and Movement. Knuk aims to provoke audiences by creating high-impact visual and physical theatre.
Sharing a particular interest in the eccentric and the absurd, the company uses clown, puppetry, slapstick and multi-lingual text to interrogate big human themes such as identity, love, loss and belonging.
Knuk continues to facilitate the growth of its own particular style of theatre, reaching out across all waters to create an enthusiastic family of artists that are both passionate and peculiar. We strive to bring out the individuality of the artist, to equip each other with tools to share our creative ideals, and the environment to fail without fear.
